Bathroom planning

Measure for a bathroom vanity before you shop

The right vanity needs to fit your room, plumbing and everyday routine. Bring a simple measurement sketch and photos so you can compare the exact cabinet and top before purchasing.

1. Measure the complete cabinet and top

Record the available width, depth and height. Check the exact product dimensions: the countertop can extend beyond the cabinet, and a backsplash can add height. Leave the clearances required for the layout and installation.

Mark baseboards, trim, door swings and nearby fixtures on your sketch. Open drawers and doors need room to move. Measure the path into the bathroom as well as the final location.

2. Locate plumbing and wall obstructions

Photograph and measure the water supplies and drain relative to the floor and nearby walls. Interior drawers, shelves and supports can affect the space available for plumbing.

Have your installer confirm compatibility and any wall support requirements, particularly for wall-mounted cabinets. Avoid buying on the assumption that a drawer or structural part can be cut away.

3. Check exactly what is included

Ask whether the price includes the cabinet, top, sink, backsplash, handles and any other parts. Confirm faucet-hole spacing, sink style and the model’s drain requirements.

Review the finish and individual condition in store. Compare the product label with your shortlist and ask about any missing pieces before purchasing.

4. Plan purchase and pickup

Select Norcross or Marietta in the header and check the item’s availability. Call with the SKU, measurements and questions before traveling. Confirm the selling unit and total price.

Arrange transport for the packaged dimensions and weight, then coordinate installation separately. Read the return and pickup policy before completing your in-store purchase.

Talk through your shortlist.
