Product details
The Café CTD90DM2NS5 is a Platinum Glass double wall oven with two 5.0-cu-ft cavities, totaling 10.0 cu ft. The reflective glass front and push-to-open, soft-open hinges give the appliance a distinctive built-in appearance in the nominal 30-inch class.
A 7-inch full-color LCD, built-in Wi-Fi/SmartHQ and an in-oven camera support a connected cooking workflow. True European Convection, precision cooking modes, proofing, warming and dehydration provide several methods within the ovens. Downloadable cooking upgrades include Air Fry, with setup and continuous Wi-Fi requirements for some connected functions.
Both cavities have self-clean roller racks and six rack positions, along with hidden bake elements. Compare those features with the dishes you regularly prepare, the room needed to open a door and extend a rack, and the software functions actually configured on the unit. New-product feature information does not establish its current setup or supplied accessories.
Buying guide
Plan a two-oven meal around separate spaces
Consider meals with several dishes that need different temperatures or finishing times. Two 5.0-cu-ft cavities provide separate places to organize that work, but each dish still needs appropriate cookware, rack positioning and a suitable mode. Compare the widest tray, tallest roasting dish and other bakeware you use with the actual interiors. A combined 10.0-cu-ft rating is useful for comparison but should not be treated as one continuous cooking compartment.
Think about how you will load, check and remove dishes from both ovens throughout a meal. Include the planned rack heights when comparing dishes that will be used simultaneously in either cavity.
Decide which connected functions you will use
The LCD and camera offer a different way to interact with the oven and monitor cooking. Review the supported setup and determine whether those functions fit your recipe and checking routine. Downloadable modes add another consideration: confirm the current software and available functions on the actual appliance before planning a method that depends on an upgrade. Keep the oven's local controls familiar as well.
A connected cooking feature can support your routine, but recipes and appropriate food checks still guide the cooking task.
Build a rack-and-dish worksheet for a larger meal
List each dish with its cookware dimensions, required recipe conditions and planned serving time. Assign it to an upper or lower cavity and record the rack arrangement you intend to use under the model's instructions. Six rack positions in each oven offer different starting locations, but they do not make every combination of tall pans and trays fit at once.
Include handles, lids and the movement of a roller rack when comparing the actual cookware. Walk through loading and removal with empty representative dishes at the proposed mounting height. Then note where finished food will land and which cook will handle each task if several people prepare the meal.
The two 5.0-cu-ft spaces are useful when these separate jobs can be organized; the 10.0-cu-ft total does not form a single taller or wider cavity. Keep any precision or downloadable mode requirements beside the appropriate recipe so equipment and software are checked before the event rather than when the oven is already needed.
Review the glass front and opening movement together
Compare the actual Platinum Glass appearance with nearby windows, lighting and cabinet finishes at the position where the oven will stand. A reflective front can look different from a plain stainless surface, so the room view is worth assessing alongside the product image. Learn the push-to-open and soft-open door operation from the exact guide and check the actual mechanism with the unit.
Include the normal standing position and the route of an extended rack when reviewing the space in front. The absence of a conventional projecting handle should not be treated as proof that less working room is needed. The manufacturer's opening allowance and complete installation drawing still govern the fit review.
If the room is being renovated, account for the cabinet handles, island and finished floor levels that will be present at completion. This lets the distinctive front be chosen for its appearance while the real door and cookware movements remain practical for the people using both ovens.
Installation & care
- Cleaning Method
- Self-cleaning and steam cleaning
Check cabinet fit, support and door space
The manufacturer sheet lists a 29.75-inch width, 53-inch height and 24.75-inch depth. Its standard cutout is 28.5 inches wide, 51.8125 inches high and 23.5 inches deep. Have the installer review the complete drawing for the intended arrangement, the 40-A rating at 208/240 V and cabinet bracing able to support 400 lb. The sheet calls for at least 22 inches of door-opening allowance.
Include adjacent cabinets and the work area in that review so doors and racks remain practical to use.
Coordinate glass care, racks and cleaning cycles
Use the manufacturer's compatible method for the Platinum Glass front, LCD area and oven interiors. Follow the exact guide when preparing racks and accessories for self-cleaning, rather than assuming every piece can remain in place. Keep the correct equipment organized for the cooking modes configured on the appliance. If a connected feature requires continuous Wi-Fi, confirm the network setup and learn how its behavior is described in the model instructions.
Routine care and mode setup are separate tasks, both worth considering before using the oven for a larger meal.
Record the cooking functions configured on the appliance
At setup, identify the functions currently available on the actual oven and retain the supported update and SmartHQ information with CTD90DM2NS5. Downloadable upgrades, including Air Fry, should be verified on the unit before a planned meal depends on them. For each function you intend to use, note the applicable guide and required cooking equipment, then check which pieces accompany the oven.
Keep those records distinct from the cabinet-installation paperwork and from the camera setup. A camera can provide another view of cooking, while appropriate recipe and food checks still guide the result. If several people cook, have them learn the local LCD controls and the supported way to select, change and end a task.
Review the documented continuous-Wi-Fi requirements for the connected features you choose without assuming every function has the same dependency. Before a busy cooking day, resolve the mode and equipment questions while there is time to obtain the correct guidance. This makes the software capability concrete without promising that a factory feature list describes the unit's present configuration or supplied accessories.
Keep a note of the confirmed setup and revisit it after an update or service visit if a function central to your cooking changes. The useful reference is the supported configuration you can actually select, together with the current model instructions.
Worked example: compare a replacement opening with the standard cutout
Assume an existing opening measures 28.25 inches wide, 51.75 inches high and 23.5 inches deep. Against the listed standard cutout of 28.5 by 51.8125 by 23.5 inches, the example is 0.25 inch short in width and 0.0625 inch short in height, while the depth matches the listed figure. The nominal 30-inch size class would not reveal those differences.
Have the installer confirm the actual opening, drawing revision and intended installation type before any cabinet work is planned. These subtractions illustrate a comparison; they are not permission to enlarge the opening or omit another installation requirement. Keep the larger 29.75-by-53-inch visible front dimensions in a separate part of the worksheet so they are not copied into the cutout column.
The cabinet must also satisfy the documented support and electrical requirements, and the push-to-open doors and roller racks need their specified operating space. A counter or island in front can affect daily use even after the cabinet measurements are resolved. If several people are involved in the renovation, ask them to identify which dimensions describe the appliance, which describe the opening and which describe door movement.
That makes a practical comparison between replacement ovens without assuming two models with the same 10.0-cu-ft total or Platinum Glass appearance install identically. Keep the final confirmed arrangement with the exact CTD90DM2NS5 paperwork for later service or replacement questions. Also record usable depth at any obstruction, rather than only the cabinet's outside depth. Ask the installer to review connections or existing bracing that occupy the proposed appliance space.
Product FAQs
How is the 10.0-cu-ft total arranged?
It is divided into two 5.0-cu-ft ovens. Compare each cavity with your cookware and planned cooking methods rather than treating the total as a single space.
Is Air Fry always immediately available on the unit?
The manufacturer describes downloadable cooking upgrades that include Air Fry. Confirm the actual appliance's software, setup and available modes before relying on that function.
Does the camera replace normal cooking checks?
It provides another way to monitor the oven. Continue to follow recipe and appliance instructions, including the appropriate checks for the food and method being used.
What should I check about the opening mechanism?
Review the push-to-open door operation, opening path and rack extension in the actual kitchen layout. Include nearby cabinets and the surface where hot cookware will be placed; confirm operation on the unit before finalizing access-sensitive plans.
