Installation and care

For indoor, temperature-controlled floors, including above-, on- and below-grade rooms. Install as a floating click-lock floor over an approved clean, dry, flat subfloor. Do not add padding. Acclimation is normally unnecessary; after extreme storage temperatures, allow flooring to reach the conditions specified in the installation guide.

Sweep or vacuum without a beater bar. Damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Do not steam clean or use vinegar, wax or abrasive cleaners. Waterproof planks do not replace subfloor moisture control.

Manufacturer limited warranty applies; see the guide for terms, exclusions and installation requirements.

When planning a room with Canyon Collection's Kakadu luxury vinyl plank, use its 9-by-60-inch dimensions to compare the plank scale with your intended layout and furniture placement.

For finish coordination, consider Kakadu's wood-look design, embossed-in-register surface and handcrafted edge profile together rather than choosing by the color name alone. Compare these details with the cabinetry, trim and neighboring floor finishes in your project.

Review overall thickness separately from the wear-layer specification when comparing flooring: Kakadu lists an 8mm total build and a 22 mil wear layer. That total thickness includes a 6.5mm SPC core and a 1.5mm attached IXPE pad, so use the full build—not just the core measurement—for like-for-like thickness comparisons.
