Shower walls and shower floors have different demands. Compare tiles specifically approved for the intended location, including the expected wet conditions. Start beneath the finished tile
Tile and grout do not replace a waterproofing system. Your shower plan should address the substrate, waterproofing, drain connection, slopes and changes of plane as a compatible assembly. Discuss the chosen system with a qualified installer and follow its manufacturer instructions. Buying attractive tile first does not establish which preparation products or installation methods will work behind it.
