Product details

Delta Renaldi 9184TL-RB-DST is a single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet in Venetian Bronze. A rounded arch, stepped base and straight side lever create a balanced profile. The spray head continues the spout's curve, while the restrained detailing suits the collection's symmetrical styling. The finish has a dark brown appearance with subtle lighter highlights.

Touch2O with Touchless Technology supports three controls: bring a hand near the faucet, tap its surface or operate the handle. A touch-only mode is available, and water shuts off automatically after four minutes. TempSense changes LED color with water temperature. ProClean delivers a wide fan of water to cover more surface area during sink cleanup.

The high-arc spout rotates through 360 degrees with a 20-inch retractable hose. Delta specifies a maximum flow of 1.8 GPM at 60 PSI and one-hole or three-hole installation with 8-inch spacing. MagnaTite magnetic docking holds the wand after it is returned to the spout. Touch-Clean spray openings simplify mineral removal. These are manufacturer model specifications. The model uses integrated InnoFlex PEX waterways and 3/8-inch compression connections.

Its listed flow also corresponds to 6.8 liters per minute at 414 kPa. Overall model height is 17 inches.

The Renaldi mounting drawing calls for at least two inches of clearance to the backsplash and permits decks up to three inches thick. It shows mounting holes between 1-5/16 and 1-1/2 inches in diameter. The three-hole arrangement uses 8-inch centers and the optional 10-inch RP100845 escutcheon, with finish selection required. The drawing gives a 10-inch horizontal reach for comparing the outlet position with the sink bowl.

Measure the mounting surface and rear space together so the planned arrangement leaves room for the faucet and handle.

The linked installation sheet calls for an isolated mounting arrangement to support touch operation. The faucet shank must not contact the sink-hole edge, and the bracket’s isolating feature belongs inside the hole. That sheet also explains how the magnetic dock releases: pull the wand away from the spout or rotate it 90 degrees in either direction to separate the magnets. Returning the wand near the spout engages the dock.

The release motion separates the magnetic connection before the wand is directed toward the area being rinsed.

Buying guide

Choosing this faucet

Use the complete model number 9184TL-RB-DST when comparing this kitchen faucet with other fixtures. The finish suffix and feature suffixes help distinguish similar looking products, so compare the exact model rather than only the collection name. Choose around the tasks performed at this sink: filling containers, rinsing produce or washing dishes. Compare the spout position with the bowl center and consider how the handle will be reached.

For a secondary prep sink, use the actual bowl dimensions rather than assuming a smaller countertop requires a particular faucet size. Use the product details and specifications above to narrow the choice, then compare the manufacturer drawing with the space where the fixture will be installed. Check the actual item photos and current listing information for the unit you are considering.

A model reference image shows the design; it does not establish the condition or contents of an individual item. Think about how the fixture will be used by everyone in the household, and where frequently used containers or dishes will sit during filling or rinsing.

Which touchless setting is appropriate for the sink surface? Delta’s Touchless guide recommends high sensitivity for stainless sinks and granite, and low sensitivity for porcelain or acrylic sinks and quartz, laminate or Corian counters. With the handle closed, hold the base for six seconds to cycle settings. Five blue flashes identify high sensitivity, four purple identify low, and three red identify proximity sensing off.

Reopen the handle after changing the setting. For a replacement project, decide which parts of the existing setup will stay: the sink, countertop, drain, water treatment equipment and supply valves can each affect the final choice. Write down the problem you want the new fixture to solve, such as reaching a different part of the bowl or making the controls easier to reach.

Compare that goal with the exact model features above.

Planning the sink layout

Measure the mounting holes, countertop thickness and space between the faucet and backsplash. Check the full handle movement and the clearance under nearby cabinets or shelves. If the model has a moving spray wand, leave a clear path beneath the sink for the hose and its return movement. A useful planning sketch shows the mounting position, bowl outline, nearby fittings and plumbing route.

Measure from the finished surfaces that will remain after the project, including tile, a new backsplash or a replacement countertop. Compare spout reach and overall height as separate dimensions; the height of the outlet is different again. Do not rely on the apparent size in a product photo. If covering unused mounting holes is part of the plan, check the exact accessory and its dimensions before drilling or ordering.

Keep enough space to tighten the mounting hardware and to reach the connections with suitable tools. Resolve fit questions before removing the existing fixture, particularly where the sink or countertop cannot easily be modified.

What should be measured before choosing a mounting arrangement? Compare the 10-inch reach with the location of the sink bowl and mounting hole. The drawing specifies a three-inch maximum deck, at least two inches behind the faucet and holes between 1-5/16 and 1-1/2 inches in diameter. The optional three-hole layout uses 8-inch centers. Match these limits to finished countertop and backsplash surfaces before installation.

Check both the space above the sink and the space below it. A cabinet shelf, garbage disposal or storage organizer may restrict access even when the countertop has room for the faucet. Make a simple cardboard outline from the manufacturer drawing if the position is difficult to visualize, and check the handle movement against the surrounding finished surfaces.

Installation & care

Installation and everyday care

Follow the installation instructions for 9184TL-RB-DST and the instructions for any connected equipment. Have the installer compare the site measurements, water connections and mounting arrangement before work begins. Identify the shutoff valves, protect the finished surfaces and inspect the existing supply connections. Use the specified fittings rather than forcing an adapter or changing a connection based on appearance.

After installation, check all accessible connections while the fixture is operating and again after it has been turned off. For everyday cleaning, start with a soft damp cloth and follow the finish care instructions for the exact model. Check the finish care instructions before using any cleaner or cleaning pad. Keep the outlet and moving controls free of accumulated residue using the approved cleaning method.

Treat installation and care as part of the complete sink or shower setup, including any connected drain, filtration or heating equipment.

How should the supply tubing and finish be cared for? The installation sheet recommends broad loops with an eight-inch minimum bend diameter when excess PEX is routed below the sink. It prohibits pipe compound and other sealants on the water-line connections. For the exterior finish, Delta calls for gentle wiping with a damp cloth followed by drying with a soft towel; harsh abrasives and polish can damage the surface.

Product FAQs

How do I plan access and future maintenance?

Keep the shutoff valves and faucet connections accessible. On a faucet with a pull-down or pull-out wand, avoid storage that catches the hose or interferes with its return. Check the hose path after reorganizing the cabinet, because the available space can change as more items are stored below the sink. Save the exact SKU, finish name and installation paperwork with the project records.

Photographs of accessible connections can help identify the arrangement later without dismantling finished surfaces. When a service part is needed, match the manufacturer part diagram for the exact model rather than choosing a visually similar component. Check for visible moisture after service, and inspect any area where tubing or a hose could rub against another object. If operation changes, consult the troubleshooting steps for this model before replacing unrelated parts.

Keep a record of any separately installed equipment and its model number as well. This makes future filter changes, plumbing service or fixture replacement easier to plan and helps the next person working on the installation understand how the components are connected.

How should the optional deck plate be identified? The exact Renaldi drawing names the RP100845 family and requires the proper finish suffix. Delta’s separate RP100845 page identifies the unsuffixed item as Chrome, so that base number alone does not identify Venetian Bronze. Match the finish option before selecting the accessory. Its listing describes metal construction and a 10-inch deck plate.

What should I check before ordering?

Before ordering, compare the SKU 9184TL-RB-DST, finish name and configuration with the item you intend to replace. Read the current listing and inspect the available item photos, including close views where supplied. Confirm which parts are present with the actual unit: do not assume that the standard manufacturer package and an individual store listing have identical contents.

If an accessory is needed for your installation, identify its exact part number and check whether it must be purchased separately. Make a short checklist of the mounting fittings, connection fittings and other items your installer requires. Compare that checklist with the listing before arranging the work. Select the correct store view and check the current quantity and fulfillment choices there.

Bring the model number and installation measurements when asking about fit so the advice refers to the specific fixture and location.
