Product details

The Delta Traditional Instant Hot Water Dispenser in Polished Nickel, model 1960LF-H-PN, provides a dedicated outlet for near-boiling water when connected to a compatible hot-water tank. It is intended for kitchen tasks such as preparing hot beverages, cooking and cleaning. The traditional dispenser configuration coordinates with Delta kitchen faucets while keeping the hot-water outlet separate from the main sink faucet. A spring-loaded handle closes itself when released, and the spout rotates through 360 degrees.

Delta engineers this model for InSinkErator tank models HWT300-F2000S, HWT-300 or HWT300-F3000S. The tank and filter are separate purchases; the faucet alone does not heat water. The dispenser body uses solid brass construction, with insulation in the body and spout to reduce heat transfer to the faucet. Its valve design uses a spring-loaded ceramic-disc cartridge.

The faucet mounts through a single hole and accommodates a deck up to 3 inches thick. Delta lists an overall height of 9-7/16 inches and a flow rating of 1.5 GPM at 60 PSI. The supply arrangement uses an integrated InnoFlex PEX cold-water line and a 3/8-inch compression connection. This ADA-compliant model's tank compatibility and deck limits are useful details when planning an instant-hot station at the kitchen sink.

Buying guide

Choosing this faucet

Use the complete model number 1960LF-H-PN when comparing this instant-hot water dispenser with other fixtures. The finish suffix and feature suffixes help distinguish similar looking products, so compare the exact model rather than only the collection name. Plan the faucet and compatible hot-water tank as a system. Match the tank model, tubing route and available cabinet space before ordering. A hot-water dispenser serves a different purpose from the main kitchen mixing faucet. Keep the hot outlet positioned where a cup can be filled without reaching across the main sink. Use the product details and specifications above to narrow the choice, then compare the manufacturer drawing with the space where the fixture will be installed. Check the actual item photos and current listing information for the unit you are considering. A model reference image shows the design; it does not establish the condition or contents of an individual item. Think about how the fixture will be used by everyone in the household, and where frequently used containers or dishes will sit during filling or rinsing.

Planning the sink layout

Leave usable space below the sink for the separately selected heating tank, its service connections and access. Check the tank instructions for electrical and mounting requirements. Position the dispenser so the outlet remains over the basin, and allow clearance for the operating handle and normal cup filling. A useful planning sketch shows the mounting position, bowl outline, nearby fittings and plumbing route. Measure from the finished surfaces that will remain after the project, including tile, a new backsplash or a replacement countertop. Compare spout reach and overall height as separate dimensions; the height of the outlet is different again. Do not rely on the apparent size in a product photo. If covering unused mounting holes is part of the plan, check the exact accessory and its dimensions before drilling or ordering. Keep enough space to tighten the mounting hardware and to reach the connections with suitable tools. Resolve fit questions before removing the existing fixture, particularly where the sink or countertop cannot easily be modified.

Installation & care

Installation and everyday care

Follow the installation instructions for 1960LF-H-PN and the instructions for any connected equipment. Have the installer compare the site measurements, water connections and mounting arrangement before work begins. Identify the shutoff valves, protect the finished surfaces and inspect the existing supply connections. Use the specified fittings rather than forcing an adapter or changing a connection based on appearance. After installation, check all accessible connections while the fixture is operating and again after it has been turned off. For everyday cleaning, start with a soft damp cloth and follow the finish care instructions for the exact model. Check the finish care instructions before using any cleaner or cleaning pad. Keep the outlet and moving controls free of accumulated residue using the approved cleaning method. Treat installation and care as part of the complete sink or shower setup, including any connected drain, filtration or heating equipment.

Product FAQs

How do I plan access and future maintenance?

Keep the tank controls and connections accessible for later inspection. Follow the heating-system instructions when planning servicing or periods without use. Make sure household users understand which outlet dispenses hot water, and leave the area around the dispenser clear for safe operation. Save the exact SKU, finish name and installation paperwork with the project records. Photographs of accessible connections can help identify the arrangement later without dismantling finished surfaces. When a service part is needed, match the manufacturer part diagram for the exact model rather than choosing a visually similar component. Check for visible moisture after service, and inspect any area where tubing or a hose could rub against another object. If operation changes, consult the troubleshooting steps for this model before replacing unrelated parts. Keep a record of any separately installed equipment and its model number as well. This makes future filter changes, plumbing service or fixture replacement easier to plan and helps the next person working on the installation understand how the components are connected.

What should I check before ordering?

Before ordering, compare the SKU 1960LF-H-PN, finish name and configuration with the item you intend to replace. Read the current listing and inspect the available item photos, including close views where supplied. Confirm which parts are present with the actual unit: do not assume that the standard manufacturer package and an individual store listing have identical contents. If an accessory is needed for your installation, identify its exact part number and check whether it must be purchased separately. Make a short checklist of the mounting fittings, connection fittings and other items your installer requires. Compare that checklist with the listing before arranging the work. Select the correct store view and check the current quantity and fulfillment choices there. Bring the model number and installation measurements when asking about fit so the advice refers to the specific fixture and location.
